Customizing Fuego

Zoom

Adjust the interface zoom level for better readability.

Modes

• System: Matches your operating system’s theme.
• Light: Enables a bright interface.
• Dark: Provides a modern dark theme.
• Deep Blue: Offers a dark mode with a blue tint.

Accent Color

Choose an accent color to highlight UI elements and enhance visual contrast.

Syntax Settings

• Show strings with quotes for better distinction.
• Display labels for empty strings to easily identify missing data.
• Use different colors based on data types for improved readability.

Table Display Options

• Show or hide grid lines in the table view.
• Customize how document IDs are displayed (e.g., showing only the beginning and end).

Tree View

Choose what collapsed document rows show in the Value column of the tree view:

• None: no preview.
• Whole document: a compact inline object with the document’s fields.
• Selected fields: the columns of the table view, with the fields used by the query’s sort and filters first.
• Custom template: text built from the document’s fields, using the template you enter.

Template syntax

• Field names go in braces: {name}.
• Nested fields use a dotted path: {address.city}.
• Array items use an index: {tags[0].name}.
• Keys with spaces, dots or other special characters go in backticks inside the braces: {`first name`}.
• System placeholders: {__name__}, {__path__}, {__create_time__}, {__update_time__}, {__size__} and {__documentParent__}.
• An optional date format follows a pipe: {createdAt|DATE_MED}. The format names are the same ones offered in the Formats settings.
• Double the braces for literal braces: {{ and }}.
• A missing field is left empty.

For example, {accountType} · {status} · {createdAt|DATE_MED} renders as user · active · Sep 9, 2026.

While you type, { suggests the collection’s field names and | the date formats; the Placeholders and date formats link next to the field opens the full list, and a click inserts an entry at the cursor.

Per-collection preview

A collection can use its own preview instead of the app setting: use the button in the Value column header of the tree view, the Document preview button in the toolbar, or the collection’s context menu (Tree view preview…). In Selected fields mode the collection can also name the fields to show; leave the list empty to use its table columns. Pick Use the app setting to go back to the app-wide mode. The choice is shared across every parent document of the same subcollection path (for example users/*/messages).

Other Settings

• Enable or disable the authentication method icon in the project name.

Language Selection

Choose your preferred language for the Fuego interface.

Formats

• Datetime Format: Select how dates and timestamps appear in the app.
• Number Format: Customize the number grouping and decimal precision.
• Geopoint Format: Define how latitude and longitude coordinates are displayed.

By leveraging these customization options, you can optimize Fuego to match your preferences and enhance your productivity.
