What is Fuego?
Fuego is a desktop GUI application designed to simplify Firestore data management, making it straightforward and efficient to manage, edit, and analyze your Firebase database.
Who is the company behind Fuego?
Fuego is developed by MiServe, a software company based in Catania, Italy (VAT ID IT03081990834).
Is Fuego secure for managing data?
Fuego is developed with security as a priority. All access credentials are stored locally on your computer.
The fuegoapp.dev server is only contacted to verify your license, ensuring your sensitive project data never leaves your device.
Does Fuego or its backend have access to my data?
No. Fuego stores all configuration data, tokens, and project metadata (such as schemas and database names) locally on your machine. No sensitive information or usage statistics are sent to Fuego servers.
Data from Firestore, Firebase Authentication, and Firebase Storage is retrieved directly through Google’s official Admin SDK — neither MiServe nor Fuego’s backend infrastructure can read your collections, documents, or files.
How does Fuego handle authentication with Application Default Credentials (ADC)?
When using ADC, Fuego relies on the authentication mechanism provided by the Google Cloud CLI, and no authentication tokens are stored by the application.
How does settings synchronization work?
Starting from version 1.2, Fuego includes synchronization features that allow you to store settings using Firebase Storage or Firestore. The destination must be explicitly configured by you in the application settings.
No third-party services are used, and no synchronized data is stored on Fuego servers or fuegoapp.dev.
Which external servers does Fuego communicate with?
Fuego only communicates with an external server (fuegoapi.web.app, api.fuegoapp.dev or fuegoapp.dev) for license-related operations — such as creating and managing team licenses, validating subscriptions, renewals, and expiration dates — and for checking the availability of software updates.
Who handles billing and payments?
Billing and payment processing are handled by Lemon Squeezy, acting as the Merchant of Record (MoR). As part of the purchase process, Lemon Squeezy provides MiServe with the customer’s name and email address so that licenses can be issued, managed, and supported.
